Students at Holy Cross come from across Cumberland and York Counties, regardless of religious or ethnic backgrounds - we are very proud of the diverse make-up of our school which includes children of African, Asian, English, French, Irish, Scottish, Polish, Italian, German and Mexican heritage amongst many others.

After the Eighth Grade, graduates normally choose from three possibilities for High school with a even third going to their local public community school or to either Cheverus High School (one of the finest Jesuit College Preparatory School) or Catherine McAuley (Maine’s only all young-ladies school).

Statement of Our Mission

Holy Cross School strives to develop in students a lifelong love of learning, responsible citizenship within our community and the wider world. We are a community based on trust, mutual respect, and compassion.

Holy Cross School Today

Today, Holy Cross School maintains it's history while also looking to the future, and continuing the work for which it was originally set up over 70 years ago...to educate children and provide them with a firm educational and spiritual base on which to continue to high school and on to the wider world.
